Haryana Human Rights Commission Chairperson Justice Lalit Batra Inspects Vishwas School & Disability Resource Center

Gurugram, April 24 – The Chairperson of the Haryana Human Rights Commission, Justice Lalit Batra, conducted an inspection of Vishwas School & Disability Resource Center located in Sector-46. During the visit, he went to each classroom and closely observed the students’ academic activities, co-curricular engagements, and training programs. He interacted with the children, understood their interests, and also gathered information from the teachers about the facilities and arrangements.
During the inspection, Justice Lalit Batra played chess and table tennis. He also visited the computer lab, music room, sports activities, sign language training sessions, and therapy sessions. He expressed happiness on seeing the active participation and confidence of the children. He remarked that Vishwas School & Disability Resource Center is not just an educational institution, but a platform that fosters self-reliance, dignity, and new opportunities for children with disabilities.
He further stated that along with academics, the children are being provided life skills, sports, music, and technical training, which serve as a strong medium to connect them with the mainstream of society.
The Vishwas organization was established in 2005 with a team of just three members. Today, it has positively impacted the lives of around 1,900 children and youth with disabilities. Currently, the school has 300 students enrolled, out of which 18 percent are Children With Special Needs (CWSN). All students receive free education. The school offers facilities such as skill development and training, community-based programs, a disability resource center, computer education, sports, music, and sign language training.
Therapy sessions are conducted every Wednesday and Friday. These sessions are open not only to the school’s students but also to people from outside, and the services are provided completely free of cost.
On this occasion, Member Kuldip Jain, Member Deep Bhatia, Registrar Ravi Kumar Saundhi, Assistant Registrar Dr. Puneet Arora, District Social Welfare Officer Sarfaraz Khan, Chairperson of Vishwas School & Disability Resource Center Neelam, Communication Manager Shobha, Pawan Kumar, Poonam Batra, and Shivali Sondhi, along with other dignitaries, were present.
