Chandigarh, June 17: Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini honoured progressive farmers who have made remarkable contributions to the floriculture sector during a programme held at Munimpur village on Wednesday. The Chief Minister presented Pushp Ratna and Pushp Samman awards to selected farmers from different districts of the state in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
On this occasion, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana’s farmers are setting new benchmarks in agriculture by adopting modern farming technologies. He noted that farmers have achieved significant success in floriculture through their hard work, innovation, and scientific farming practices. He added that floriculture is not only enhancing farmers’ incomes but is also promoting diversification in the agricultural sector.
The Chief Minister honoured the award-winning farmers with shawls, certificates of appreciation and mementos, and wished them success in their future endeavours. He also encouraged farmers to adopt modern technologies and promote horticulture and floriculture cultivation across the state.
During the programme, the Chief Minister presented the Pushp Ratna Award to Lalit Saini of Fatehpur Biloch village in Faridabad district, Chhotelal of Bharli village and Rahul Singh of Nandpur village in Panchkula district, Rajkumar of Madodi Jattan village in Rohtak district, Surender Kumar of Dhani Radha village, Sandeep Kumar of Khaleta village, Satyanarayan of Khol village and Gyani Ram of Dhawana village in Rewari district, and Rajesh Devi of Digrota village in Narnaul district.
In addition, Keshav Chauhan of Hamirpur village in Gurugram district and Ranvir Singh of Pathli Kalan village in Palwal district were also presented the Pushp Ratna Award.
Meanwhile, Khajan Singh of Saundhi village in Jhajjar district was honoured with the Pushp Samman Award for his special achievements in the floriculture sector. People present at the programme congratulated the award-winning farmers and appreciated their accomplishments.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Haryana Government is continuously working to increase farmers’ income and promote the horticulture sector. He stated that the expansion of modern horticulture technologies, research facilities and training programmes will provide greater benefits to farmers and help Haryana establish a distinct identity in the field of floriculture.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting farmers through innovative initiatives and ensuring sustainable growth in the horticulture sector.
