Faridabad Hosts Census 2027 Phase-II Pre-Test Training for Enumerators and Supervisors

Faridabad, 01 July.
In preparation for the Second Phase of Census 2027 (Population Enumeration), scheduled to be conducted in February 2027, the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India, in coordination with the Directorate of Census Operations, Haryana, has selected two districts in the state for the pre-test exercise, with Faridabad being one of them.

The pre-test will be conducted from 1 July to 20 July 2026 in Ward No. 24, covering 17 Enumeration Blocks, to test field procedures, digital applications, and operational arrangements before the nationwide population enumeration.

As part of the first phase of the pre-test, a three-day training programme for Enumerators and Supervisors is being organized from 1 July to 3 July 2026 at Government Women ITI College, Faridabad, under the guidance of the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Faridabad (MCF).

The training programme commenced today with its inaugural session led by Shri Gaurav Antil, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Faridabad (ACMC). Addressing the participants, he emphasized the importance of the Census exercise and urged all Enumerators and Supervisors to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, accuracy, and commitment.

The inaugural session was attended by Shri Laxman Singh Rawat, Joint Director of Census Operations (JDCO), Directorate of Census Operations, Haryana; Shri Sanjib Pradhan, Deputy Director of Census Operations (DDCO), Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India (ORGI Headquarters); and Shri Jasvir Singh, Assistant Divisional Incharge, Faridabad.

The training is being conducted by Shri Prashant Sharma, District Incharge, Faridabad and Master Trainer, along with Shri Brajmohan Sharma, Master Trainer, who are providing detailed guidance on Census procedures, field operations, and the use of digital applications to ensure the successful implementation of the pre-test.
