Rs.50,20,600 prize money distributed among 298 winners
Chandigarh, February 8 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini awarded a total prize of Rs. 20 lakh to eight livestock owners in different breed male and female championship categories at the 41st State Livestock Exhibition. Each champion received a cheque of Rs.2.50 lakh for their respective categories. Overall, prize money worth Rs. 50,20,600 was distributed among 298 winners across 53 categories at the event.
Sharing information in this regard, Director General, Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Prem Singh said that in the Murrah breed male championship, Narendra Singh from village Bursham, Panipat, won the title, while in the Murrah breed female championship, Ishwar Singh from village Singhwa Khas, Hisar, won with his Murrah buffalo. Both winners received Rs. 2.50 lakh each.
In the Haryana breed male championship, Narendra from village Didwani, Panipat, won the title with his Haryana breed bull and received Rs. 2.50 lakh. In the Haryana breed female championship, Anoop from village Gawalison, Jhajjar, won with his Haryana breed cow. In the Sahiwal breed male championship, Anuj from village Taraori Karnal, won with his Sahiwal bull, while in the female category, Rajbir from village Dadupur Rodan, Karnal, won with his Sahiwal cow.
In the Exotic Cross Breed male championship, Pawan from village Saga won the title, while Akshadeep from village Galibkheri, Karnal, won the female championship. Each of these winners also received Rs. 2.50 lakh.
In other competitions, Sunny from Rohtak won Rs. 51,000 for securing first place in the Murrah Young Bull category. Inderjit from Jhook, Mahendragarh, won Rs. 51,000 in the Murrah Buffalo Dry category. Ramniwas from Bhagwatipur, Rohtak, received Rs. 51,000 for winning the Murrah Buffalo Heifer category. Monu from village Alewa, Jind, won Rs.21,000 in the Murrah Male Calf category, and Pradeep Kumar from Wazirpur, Jhajjar, won Rs. 21,000 in the Murrah Female Calf category.Gopal Krishna from Alahar, Yamunanagar, received Rs. 51,000 for winning the Haryana Cow in Milk category, while Vikram from Khark Pandwa, Kaithal, received Rs. 51,000 in the Haryana Cow Dry category. Ashish from Bhawani Khera, Bhiwani, won Rs. 51,000 in the Haryana Pair Bullocks category.
