Comprehensive Arrangements In Place for Voter Convenience During Elections

Chandigarh, May 8 – Haryana State Election Commission Secretary Gaurav Kumar informed that with the objective of ensuring voter convenience and maximum voter participation in the upcoming Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council, and Municipal Committee elections, voter slips have been distributed to all voters. This arrangement has been implemented for the first time in local body elections in Haryana.

He stated that all Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to appoint micro observers at identified polling stations to ensure proper voter verification and identification. During voting, voters must carry their Voter ID card or any other valid identity proof prescribed by the Haryana State Election Commission.

Secretary Gaurav Kumar further informed that all Deputy Commissioners have been directed to ensure special arrangements for the convenience of Divyangs, senior citizens, and women voters. In addition, instructions have been issued to provide essential facilities such as help booths and drinking water at all polling stations.
