Chandigarh, May 13 — The Haryana Government has initiated the process to fill vacant regular Group-D posts across various government departments, boards, corporations and agencies through the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
In this regard, Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi has directed all Administrative Secretaries and heads of government-controlled bodies to submit fresh requisitions for vacant posts on the HSSC portal by May 31, 2026. The decision applies to all regular Group-D vacancies except the posts of Chowkidar and Sweeper.
The government has asked all Boards, Corporations, Statutory Bodies and other agencies owned or controlled by the State Government to upload details of vacant posts on the HSSC portal within the stipulated timelines. The communication further directs Administrative Secretaries to ensure compliance by all departments and organizations functioning under their control. The government has also prescribed a detailed format for calculating vacant Group-D posts. Departments have been instructed to provide information regarding sanctioned posts, filled posts occupied by regular employees, and posts held by contractual employees under the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Act, 2024.
Separate details are to be furnished for contractual employees who have completed five years of service and those who have not completed five years of service under the Act.
After taking into account all occupied posts, the remaining vacant positions will be considered for fresh recruitment through HSSC. Officials said the move is expected to accelerate the recruitment process and help address staff shortages in various government departments and public sector bodies across Haryana.
