Directs Deputy Commissioners and Police Officials to Ensure Smooth, Fair and Secure Conduct of Examination

Chandigarh, June 13: Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi today chaired a high-level review meeting through video conferencing with all Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Police Commissioners and other senior officers to assess the preparedness for the NEET re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21 across the state. National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh was also present in the meeting.

The Chief Secretary directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure foolproof security arrangements at every examination centre and eliminate any possibility of irregularities during the examination. He instructed that timely inspections of all centres be conducted to ensure the availability of electricity, drinking water, sanitation facilities, medical assistance and other essential amenities.

He further directed Deputy Commissioners to coordinate closely with officials of the Police, Education, Health and Transport Departments to ensure the seamless conduct of the examination. Special arrangements should be made to maintain law and order around examination centres, manage traffic effectively and ensure that candidates do not face any inconvenience.

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining the credibility of a high-stakes examination like NEET, the Chief Secretary said that it is the collective responsibility of all concerned officials to ensure a fair and transparent process. He instructed all officers associated with the examination to discharge their duties with utmost vigilance and responsibility.

The meeting also included detailed discussions on security measures, surveillance arrangements, facilities at examination centres and inter-departmental coordination. Deputy Commissioners were directed to complete all preparations well in advance to ensure that the examination is conducted in a peaceful, transparent and orderly manner.

To facilitate candidates, district administrations were asked to establish help desks and ensure adequate public information regarding examination timings, reporting schedules and guidelines.
