Chandigarh, April 21 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that BJP’s politics is not based on taking votes, but on ensuring the dignity and development of every citizen. The government does not believe in appeasement, but works towards empowerment. It does not create vote banks, but ‘development banks’. He urged the people of Punjab to be ready for change and work towards making the state prosperous. He added that once BJP forms the government in Punjab, those involved in the illegal drug trade will run away from the state.
The Chief Minister said this while addressing a delegation of the Rai Sikh community at Sant Kabir Kutir, Chandigarh, on Tuesday.
When compared with Punjab, Haryana’s model of good governance is an excellent example of service
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that while the Punjab government has made only attractive promises, the present Haryana government has implemented ‘reservation within reservation’ on the ground, ensuring appropriate representation of Rai Sikh youth in government and administration according to their population. Compared to Punjab’s situation, Haryana’s governance model is a fine example of service. He said that although there is a significant population of the Rai Sikh community in Punjab as well, policies there are still confined to announcements.
