Chief Minister Attends Programme at Gokalpur Ashram in Rewari

Chandigarh, May 2 — Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana is the land of saints and warriors, where service, sacrifice, and ‘dharma’ hold a special place in its culture. In line with this rich heritage, the Haryana Government is continuously working not only for economic development but also to strengthen the cultural and spiritual values of the state.

The Chief Minister said this while attending a programme on Saturday at Gokalpur Shiv Temple Ashram in Rewari. He said that to promote cultural and spiritual values, the government is running several programmes, including facilitating pilgrimages to holy places for the people of the state.

He said that the ancient Shiva Temple Ashram of Gokalpur is a living centre of Sanatan culture, faith, and traditions. The ancient Shiva temple here, believed to have been built during the Mahabharata period, stands as a witness to our glorious past.

Appreciating the three-day Maharudra Yagya and the grand Bhandara being organized at the Ashram, he described it as a symbol of social unity, service, and dedication. He also praised the work being carried out by Swami Dheeraj Giri Maharaj, including the operation of an animal hospital, cow service, marriages of poor and destitute girls, and educational support for underprivileged children, calling these true service to humanity.

He requested Swami Dheeraj Giri Maharaj to get the gaushala run by the Ashram registered so that it can receive government assistance.

The Chief Minister said that in Indian culture, Bhandara is a living symbol of service, dedication, and equality. The tradition of Bhandara also connects us with the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the world is one family.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that since assuming the responsibility of Prime Minister in 2014, Sh. Narendra Modi has been enhancing the glory of Sanatan Dharma. After a long struggle, sacrifice, and dedication, he fulfilled the resolve of crores of Indians by consecrating the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.
