Chandigarh, April 22 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has urged industrialists to manufacture products that can give “Make in India” a strong global identity. He said that the Prime Minister has also emphasized that Indian products should not only meet international standards but surpass them. The Chief Minister stated that companies should produce goods in such a way that “Make in India” becomes synonymous with superior quality.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was interacting with investors at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday regarding the state’s upcoming Industrial Policy. During the interaction, he held separate meetings with industrialists from the auto, manufacturing, electronics, and other sectors. He not only sought their suggestions on the new policy but also shared his own views.
He said that Haryana is the best state for industrial investment. Whether it is infrastructure, road connectivity, or basic facilities, Haryana excels in every sector. The state is providing top-class amenities for industries. Paperwork is being streamlined through a single-window system. Haryana offers an excellent ecosystem for industries, which is why it is the preferred destination for leading manufacturing companies in the country.
He further stated that Haryana will soon introduce its new Industrial Policy, and direct consultations with industrialists are being held to refine it further so that industries can derive maximum benefit and the state can achieve greater progress.
Set Up Industries with Focus on Import Substitution
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that industrialists investing in different sectors should also focus on import substitution while setting up industries and manufacturing products. This will not only increase the availability of products currently imported from other countries but also generate local employment. It will be beneficial for the nation and promote domestic industries.
Meanwhile, ASSOCHAM Secretary General Saurabh Sanyal appreciated the Haryana Government for organizing the meeting on the new Industrial Policy. He said this is the first time that direct consultations are being held with industrialists before finalizing an industrial policy, and thanked the Chief Minister for this initiative.
Important Role of Industries in a Viksit Bharat
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that industries will play a crucial role in achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Keeping this in mind, the Haryana Government has presented its vision document. Industrial development in the state will boost growth and generate more employment opportunities.
NTF Company MD Naveen Jain expressed interest in purchasing land through HSIIDC to set up an industry in Haryana. He also suggested replacing diesel vehicles used in municipal bodies with electric vehicles. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that the government may consider the use of EVs in municipal bodies in the future.
The meeting was attended by PWD, Forest and Environment Minister Sh. Rao Narbir Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General, Industries, Sh. Yash Garg, along with other senior officials. Representatives from various companies, including Chairman Sanjay Seth of Proterial Company, Chief Marketing Officer Anuj Sharma, Horizon Industrial Park CEO Urvish, CFO Kunal Shah, Nilesh from Satvik Group, JBM Vice Chairman Nishant Arya, and MD Vivek Gupta from India Cell Alliance, also shared their suggestions.
