Chandigarh, April 30- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government is formulating a comprehensive and future-oriented industrial policy, keeping in view the interests of the industry. The primary objective of this policy is to establish Haryana as a leading industrial hub of the country, attract maximum investment, and generate large-scale employment opportunities for the youth of the state, he said.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further informed that suggestions have been formally invited from industry stakeholders to make the policy practical and effective, thereby ensuring tangible improvements at the ground level.
The Chief Minister was interacting with prominent industrialists from Punjab at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir. On this occasion, the industrialists honoured the Chief Minister with a memento and held detailed discussions on various issues related to industry, investment, and employment. The meeting aimed at promoting inter-state industrial cooperation and strengthening avenues for shared growth.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana today ranks among the fastest-growing states in the country and is steadily progressing towards becoming the leading state in the nation. He said that every district of the state is well connected through a robust road network and national highways, which has created a favourable environment for industries and trade.
He further informed that the state government is developing Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) at various locations, and the processes of land acquisition and infrastructure development are being carried out at a rapid pace.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is not only focused on industrial development but is equally committed to social and economic empowerment. Various schemes have been implemented to connect youth with skill development and employment, promote women’s self-reliance, and uplift marginalized sections of society.
He said that due to the transparent policies of the “double-engine government,” the confidence of youth has been continuously increasing. Recruitment on the basis of merit has encouraged young people to take greater interest in preparing for competitive examinations. As a result, more than 60 youths from Haryana are being selected every year in prestigious examinations such as the UPSC, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Invitation to Punjab Industrialists
The Chief Minister extended an open invitation to industrialists from Punjab to establish industries in Haryana, stating that the state government is committed to providing all necessary facilities to industries. He said that Haryana has made remarkable improvements in the field of Ease of Doing Business, the positive results of which are now clearly visible.
He further stated that the industrial sector will play a vital role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047 envisioned by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, and that this goal will certainly be achieved through collective efforts.
Need to Provide Positive Direction to Youth
During the interaction, concerns were expressed regarding the growing issue of drug abuse in Punjab. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that it is extremely important to provide employment and the right direction to youth. He emphasized that when young people are provided with meaningful work and opportunities, they remain away from negative tendencies.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government is working on a large scale in this direction by promoting employment generation along with sports, health, and awareness campaigns. He also informed that clear directions have been issued to the police administration to ensure strict action against drug trafficking and related crimes.
The Chief Minister further stated that due to the transparent recruitment system in Haryana, the confidence of youth has been strengthened, and they are channelizing their energy in a positive direction by preparing for competitive examinations. He cited that youth from almost every village in the state have secured government employment, and in larger villages, this number ranges from 400 to 500, reflecting the success of government policies.
Call to Reinvigorate Punjab
The Chief Minister said that Punjab once held a leading position in the country, but at present, there is a need to make it strong again. He called upon all stakeholders to collectively work towards bringing Punjab back on the path of development. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Punjab too will achieve new dimensions of development and prosperity.
Haryana is facilitating coordination with industrialists from abroad to reduce costs and maximize profits- Chief Minister
The Chief Minister, while elaborating on the achievements of Haryana’s Department of Foreign Cooperation before industrialists on this occasion, said that continuous efforts are being made in this direction to establish strong connections with various countries. He said that just as a large number of youth from Punjab are going abroad, the youth of Haryana are also moving overseas; however, this is being systematically facilitated through the state’s Foreign Cooperation Department.
Nayab Singh Saini further said that the Haryana Government is consistently working to connect youth with skills, and through the department, robust employment opportunities are being provided to them in foreign countries as well.
The Chief Minister further said that with the objective of providing better opportunities to industrialists, coordination is being established with foreign governments to promote exports. The primary aim of the government is to minimize the cost incurred by industrialists while enabling them to maximize their profits.
He informed that through the Foreign Cooperation Department, employment opportunities have been provided to the youth of Haryana in countries such as Israel and Germany, where they are earning monthly salaries ranging from Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh.
In addition, trade cooperation with African countries is being continuously expanded, with key sectors such as mining, plywood, agriculture, and IT being prominently included. With the support of the Government of India, the Haryana Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding one lakh acres of land in Tanzania, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
He further shared that Haryana is undertaking special efforts to strengthen the local supply chain. From ‘Ease of Doing Business’ to the establishment of industries, the government is providing necessary support to industrialists at every level to take the state to new heights of industrial development.
Industrialists Appreciate Government Policies
OSD to Chief Minister Sh. B.B. Bharti informed that industrialists from Punjab appreciated the industry-friendly policies of the Haryana Government, better connectivity, and improvements in Ease of Doing Business. They expressed positive views regarding investment opportunities in the state and showed interest in expanding their businesses in Haryana.
He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, transparent governance and swift decision-making have strengthened investor confidence. He said that the interaction remained positive and is expected to boost industrial investment and create more employment opportunities in the state.
