Comprehensive arrangements ensured for Physical Measurement Test (PMT); 20,000 candidates appeared so far

Chandigarh, May 1 – Member and Nodal Officer, Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), Sh. Bhupender Chauhan said that extensive arrangements have been made for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) being conducted at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula. He said that the Chairman of the Commission, Sh. Himmat Singh is continuously inspecting the arrangements, and two members of the Commission are also monitoring the process daily to ensure that it is conducted in a smooth and transparent manner.

Sh. Chauhan said that around 20,000 candidates have participated in the Physical Measurement Test between April 20 to 30, 2026. The testing process is currently ongoing.

For the smooth conduct of the entire process, around 250 officers and staff have been deployed, including teams from the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Health Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Fire Department, Physical Education Department, Police Department and Municipal Corporation.

He said that for the convenience of candidates, bus service has been provided from Zirakpur Bus Stand to Tau Devi Lal Stadium from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. At the stadium, proper arrangements have been made for rest areas, drinking water, tents and security. Free baggage counters have also been set up where candidates can safely keep their belongings.

He said that the complete process for one candidate takes about 40 to 45 minutes. All necessary facilities have been provided from the entry gate to the exit gate.

He appealed to candidates that this time the PMT process is Aadhaar-based biometric. Candidates whose thumb impression is not updated in their Aadhaar may face delays, so they should update their Aadhaar details in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

He also said that four time slots have been fixed for the test—6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. All candidates are requested to reach the examination centre as per the time mentioned on their admit cards to ensure smooth arrangements.
