Haryana emerging as a global export hub; State Delegation to visit Tanzania for International Trade Fair: Rao Narbir Singh

Chandigarh, April 29– Haryana Industry and Commerce and Foreign Cooperation Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state is writing a new chapter of industrial growth and building a strong global identity. He said that Haryana has explored trade and investment opportunities not only with developed countries but also with African nations. In this regard, a Haryana Government delegation will visit Tanzania for seven days starting May 5, 2026, to participate in the 50th Dar-es-Salaam International Trade Fair, where a Haryana pavilion will also be set up.

Rao Narbir Singh was chairing a meeting of various stakeholders convened by the Department of Foreign Cooperation today with the aim of making Haryana a global investment hub through a “Go Global” approach.

Later, while interacting with the media, he said that African countries have rich mineral resources and affordable farming opportunities. During the visit, representatives from farming, trade, IT and pharmaceutical industries will join the delegation and work towards increasing cooperation with Tanzania in these areas.

He said that in the last decade, Haryana’s exports have increased by about 395 percent, which reflects strong industrial policies and a business-friendly environment. Due to this progress, Haryana is no longer just a manufacturing hub, but is now emerging as a strong export hub on the global map.

He further said that the state government has taken several steps to support exporters. Industrial units exporting more than 80 percent of their production will be given special recognition. Facilities like “Export Booster” are being provided, and the export freight subsidy limit has been increased from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh per unit per year, which will reduce export costs and improve competitiveness.

To connect MSMEs with global markets, an “MSME Global Industries Matching Program” is being started. Under this, a “Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet” will be organised for the first time, giving small and medium industries a chance to connect directly with global buyers and OEM companies.

Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Smt. Amneet P.Kumar, Director General, Agriculture Department, Sh. Rajnarayan Kaushik, Joint Director, Foreign Cooperation Department, Ms. Heena Bindlish, Advisor, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Pawan Chaudhary, along with officers from various departments, were present during the meeting.
