Chandigarh, May 16 – Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment , SCs & BCs Welfare and Antyodaya(SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishan Bedi said that the drone manufacturing unit established in Hansi will give Haryana a new identity in the field of technology in the coming years. He said that India is no longer only a user of foreign technology, but is now becoming a country that develops new technologies and guides the world.
The Minister was addressing a programme organised on the launch of the Drone Manufacturing and Training Project at village Sisai in Hansi district.
He said that Deep and his team have done inspiring work by setting up a modern drone manufacturing unit in the village for the youth of the state. He said that countries like Japan, America, Germany and China also started with small technical units and later gained global recognition. In the same way, Haryana is now moving forward rapidly in the field of technical innovation and modern industries.
The Minister said that the most important part of this project is that the Scheduled Castes, Backwards Classes and economically weaker youth are also being connected with employment and self-employment through training in drone technology. He said that with changing times, it is very important to connect youth with new technologies so that they can become self-reliant and contribute to the country’s economy.
He said that today’s youth should move towards drone operations, mobile repairing and technology-based businesses along with traditional employment opportunities. The government is working through various schemes to provide employment opportunities and make youth and women self-reliant.
He said that Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation is providing loan facilities to youth under several self-employment schemes. Earlier, loans up to Rs 1.5 lakh required a guarantee, but now, eligible youth are being provided loans without a guarantee.
