Gurugram, June 26- To ensure the smooth and timely completion of the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, the Office of the electoral registration
officer (ERO), 77-Gurugram
assembly constituency, has arranged additional manpower to assist Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the digitalisation and uploading of Enumeration Forms through the BLO app.
Several BLOs have been facing challenges in uploading Enumeration Forms due to limited familiarity with digital technology. Additionally, in many residential colonies, irregular and non-sequential house numbering has made house-to-house enumeration and data collection more time-consuming and complex. These practical challenges have affected the pace of field operations.
To address these challenges and ensure the time-bound completion of the SIR exercise, additional personnel have been deployed to support BLOs in digitising and uploading Enumeration Forms. This assistance will enable BLOs to devote more time to field verification while ensuring timely and accurate digital updation of records.
Sh. Hitender Kumar, SDM-cum-Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), 77-Gurugram Assembly Constituency, said that the Election Commission is committed to maintaining an accurate, inclusive and error-free electoral roll. He stated that the additional manpower has been arranged to support BLOs in overcoming operational challenges and to ensure that the Special Intensive Revision is completed efficiently within the prescribed timeline.
He appealed to all eligible electors to extend full cooperation to the BLOs during the ongoing revision process by providing correct information and submitting their Enumeration Forms on time.
