Chandigarh, April 30 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that travel to and from Panjokhra Sahib village will become very easy with the construction of the ring road in Ambala. To facilitate connectivity to the ring road, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is constructing three underpasses and an approximately 1.5 km long service lane in the village.
Sh. Vij was speaking to residents of Panjokhra Sahib after holding discussions with NHAI officials at his residence in Ambala Cantonment.
He said that residents will not face any difficulty in crossing to the other side of the ring road, as three underpasses are being constructed at regular intervals. He also informed that a service lane is being built right next to the Gurudwara Sahib, which will connect to the ring road.
Earlier, NHAI Project Director P.K. Sinha informed Anil Vij that the three underpasses on the ring road are located on Jadot–Panjokhra Sahib Road, Basoli–Panjokhra Sahib Road, and Tisambli–Panjokhra Sahib Road. Through these underpasses, villagers will be able to easily travel to both sides of the ring road, and access to the ring road will also be available via the service lane.
Residents of Panjokhra Sahib present on the occasion thanked Minister Anil Vij for the construction of the ring road. They said that the three underpasses and service lane within the village will ensure smooth movement without inconvenience.
It is noteworthy that earlier, residents of Panjokhra Sahib had met Minister Anil Vij and requested the construction of a service lane for access to the ring road, which has now been fulfilled.
40 km long ring road being constructed due to the efforts of Minister Anil Vij
Due to the efforts of Minister Anil Vij, a nearly 40 km long six-lane greenfield ring road is being constructed in Ambala, which is expected to be completed soon. The purpose of the ring road is to reduce traffic congestion in the city. Under this project, NH-152, NH-344, NH-444A, and NH-44 (Delhi–Jalandhar) will be connected, which will help from the traffic jams in Ambala Cantonment and city areas, and improve overall connectivity.
